    Air Canada Shows Off Its Brand New Airbus A220

    Air Canada revealed its brand new Airbus A220-300 in Montreal yesterday, Wednesday 15 January 2020. The gleaming new aircraft, the first of 45 the airline has on order, is due to start flying today. Lucky passengers on AC317 between Montreal and Calgary this morning will be the first to ride the new plane. Read more here.
    Air Cargo 2020 brings together diverse freight interests

    Members of the logistics, aviation and motor carrier professions will descend on Music City USA — aka Nashville, Tennessee — in 10 days to hear from key voices in the airfreight industry.
    Air Cargo 2020 is more than a conference for airline representatives.      Deltaport and Vanterm Experienced Heavy Snowfall, Delays Yesterday

    GCT Deltaport operations were closed yesterday due to heavy snow accumulation. The terminal was expected to reopen this morning at 8:00 am.
    GCT notified customers that, at both Deltaport and Vanterm, terminal gate efficiency fees (TGEF) for cancelled (unfilled) reservations and flex-appointment service (FAS) fees would be waived for yesterday’s day shift.

    CN Implements Extreme Cold Weather Restrictions

    CN has announced that, effective immediately, between Edmonton/Saskatoon and Prince Rupert/Kamloops, Tier 3 is in effect for all originating trains at any station. This means CN will run shorter trains, which will impact pipeline velocity and potentially cause bunching of traffic.
    CN encourages customers to factor in additional transit times on their current traffic and expect delays on any pickups/deliveries from western terminals.
